Mayor’s Corner

I look forward to continuing the momentum generated over the past year and a half and finishing the high priority tasks we have started.  Please be a part of the big decisions that will be made and will impact the quality of life here in Gold Hill for the next generation.

It looks like the heat of summer is upon us!  Please help us get thru the next three months and prevent a fire from sweeping thru our tree-enshrouded little town.  You might:

  • Carport: remove flammable items stored in carport
  • Clear: leaves, weeds and dead plant/ tree material from within 30’ of your house
  • Water: your plants, trees and lawns to keep them from becoming dry

Fire-fighting kit:  have a garden hose, shovel, & bucket nearby & hope you don’t need it!

Standing Committees – Planning, Bee City, Ethics/ Public Input

We still have positions available on the first 3 Committees listed above, so sign up and help us make things even better here.  Download application off our website or pick up at City Hall.

Beach Park clean-up:

November 14 – 9-Noon – clean-up starts.  Please bring gloves and hat and hydration. Let’s return our downtown beach to its pristine condition and enjoy the only riverfront beach on the mighty Rogue River in style.
